The Canadian Tuxedo

So with spring on its way the jeans come out and I cannot complain. Between the capris, shorts, skirts, shirts, you name it the jean material will always be in style. I’ve always loved mixing different jean colors so I thought why not show you mine and my littles way of doing the Canadian tuxedo. I’m very particular about jeans and how I wear them so let me explain…

When I wear a Canadian tuxedo I make sure that either the shirt or the pants are darker then the other. I’m not a huge fan of doing light jean with light jean and dark jean with dark jean, I personally just think it’s too much. Plus I enjoy mixing and matching color too much to wear the same on both top and bottom. Preferably, I like a light shirt on the top and then do a darker pant, but the fun thing about a Canadian tuxedo is that you can pretty much do what you want! So have fun with it!

Just throw on a light weight sweater, some shoes and bam the perfect spring outfit! My littles outfit is from a variety of places as usual. So below I’ve listed where each item is from! Also, if you can’t tell her shoes are a little on the big side. We are in that awkward phase where mommy might have bought too many size 5 shoes when she’s still a size 4 🙁 Ohh well she will grow into them right? Oh and I must mention the headband! Yellow Lilly has some of the cutest springtime bows so definitely go check them out!

Littles outfit details:

Sweater & Shoes: Babies R Us

Jean Shirt: TJ Maxx

Jeans: Carters

Headband: Yellow Lilly

I have to talk about the necklace that I am wearing! Isn’t it so cute?! I love it because it reminds me of a western tassel but with bling!! Can you say LOVE! I decided to wear it like a tassel with my shirt buttons all buttoned…because it is a Canadian tuxedo! Below I’ve posted where to get my look!

Mama’s outfit details:

Sweater & Jeans: Forever 21

Shirt: TJ Maxx

Shoes: DSW

Necklace: Forever 21

So this is the perfect tuxedo for the spring! Also, a tip for new mamas…be sure to measure your kids feet before buying them a ton of new shoes!

With Love,

Maeve
