When my husband first saw this look, he said that I looked like a preppy school girl. I wasn’t sure if I should be offended or take it as a compliment. So I didn’t ask questions. One thing that I have learned is to dress for myself. Because lets be real, if we dressed for our husbands all the time we would be in lingerie 24/7 and I don’t think our kids want to see that.
So most of the time when I am putting outfits together I dress for myself, meaning: Will I be comfortable? How long will it take my toddler to mess up my outfit? AND do I like what I am wearing? Now, on the rare occasion that my husband and I go on a date night, I like to dress in what I think he will like. But the other 99% of the time, I dress for myself!
So despite what my husband may think of this outfit, I like it! This is my first “real” fall look of the season and of course it involves a plaid scarf! What is fall without plaid and scarves?! I purchased this perfect scarf last year and wore it all the time and I have a feeling it is going to be used a lot this year as well.
This plaid scarf goes perfectly with this adrobale chambray dress. Chambray is such a versatile and comfy material, which is why it is a perfect fall transitioning piece! I love the light color of this dress and ladies….it has pockets! I don’t know why but I always get so excited when a dress has pockets, must be a mom thing.
There are so many cute chambray dresses out there but I like this one because it has the quarter length sleeve and the pockets. Also, another bonus is that this one is on sale for $20! Can’t beat that! As always, it is linked below.
As some of you may know I recently became a Boho Betty girl and I am addicted! They have some of the cutest bracelets, all for such great prices! From edgy to classic they’ve got it all! AND if you use code EVERYDAYMAEVE for 20% off your entire purchase! 🙂
As always, I have linked this entire outfit PLUS where to shop these super adorable Boho Betty bracelets below! Have an awesome weekend all!
